The Next Chapter: Mastering The Video Game of Life
Yo. What's good, my friend?
I officially moved my email list over to Substack.
I've been cross-posting here for awhile to test the waters, and I finally decided to go all in.
(From my observation Beehiiv still feels like a better overall newsletter platform, but Substack has the social growth aspect and I don't want to juggle both…)
New subscribers. Fresh start. It feels like a good time to reintroduce my brand and what it stands for.

The philosophy is simple: Master The Video Game of Life.
For awhile, I felt completely lost with my brand.
"I don't know what I'm leading people towards."
"I don't know what I want to create."
But I do know.
I think I got lost for awhile because I tried to offer web design as a service. I like design, don't get me wrong, but I don't want to write about it 24/7. And that was the advice I got from most people.
"I can't tell that you're a designer from your profile."
"You should write case studies."
Heart sinks.
That's not what I wanna write about….
I learned Webflow to build a website that felt like me. Since I enjoyed it, I figured web design could be a way to monetize my writing — but then it felt like I had to write about it just to sell it, and I hated that.
Whenever I tried, it felt forced. Fake. Like I was trying too hard to get something.
This idea of creating a video game themed brand has stuck with me for a long time. Back in 2021, I started a podcast called 'Life is a Video Game' so I've been at it, on and off, for awhile.
Since then, I have a lot more clarity on it.
I really like the idea of following my natural curiosity, synthesizing what I've learned, and distilling complex ideas into fun creations.
Here are some of the topics you can expect from this newsletter (the shit that actually lights me up inside):
Self-Mastery, Inner Alchemy, & Conscious Creation:
- Transforming your inner state to shift your outer world.
- Breaking free from sleepwalking through life, to making more conscious, deliberate choices.
Authentic Expression:
- As a recovering people-pleaser and someone who has struggled with crippling social anxiety for most of my life — this definitely feels like something I'm here to guide people in. (Check out my 'Heel Turn' post for a little more backstory.)
- Design & aesthetics. I see your brand's aesthetics as a way to express the soul's unique essence. Aesthetics are an artistic expression, a way to invite people in with your unique vibe. To evoke feelings of excitement & delight. (At least that's what I attempt with my brand. Do you feel like you're immersed in a video game?)
Consciousness Maps & Models:
- I've recently been studying Spiral Dynamics & Integral Theory. This stuff is super interesting and has my head spinning with ideas. Will definitely write on it in the upcoming months.
Creative Business:
- What I'm learning as I attempt to build a creative online business that feels authentic. (Check out my last post 'Why I Hate Lead Magnets' for a taste of this.)
I'm not giving any of this to you as a guru…
I'm not trying to position myself as some kind of authority or expert…
I'm just a fellow Player sharing what I discover as I level up.
And the idea of guiding people feels way more exciting than taking on web design projects.
You may have noticed 'Player One Academy' in the above graphic. That's a future vision. ;)
If all this stuff feels exciting for you — stay tuned. If not, feel free to unsubscribe, no hard feelings.
Until next time my friend,
— Priscilla [Player 2]
